LEVEL DESIGNER

Destineer is calling for talented Level Designers to help us craft the next generation of military and espionage videogames. Through our relationship with the US intelligence community, you will work closely with experienced intelligence operatives as we create games built on an innovative and unique espionage play mechanic.

We’re looking for Level Designers with the passion and experience to create videogame experiences that transcend the medium, that challenge our conceptions of what a game can be and, most of all, bring exciting new gameplay to players.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create fun, fully realized gameplay environments.

 

• Work and coordinate with core technology group to continually refine Destineer toolset.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with at least one 3D shooter toolset (UnrealEdit, Hammer, etc.).

 

• Knowledge of Multiplayer systems and issues.

 

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

• Ability to work well with teams, yet be self-motivated.

 

• Detail orientated.

 

• B.A. or B.Sc. in Art, Architecture, Game Design or other related field preferred, or equivalent game experience.

HELPFUL:

• Enthusiasm for military tactical shooters and action/espionage games.

 

• Experience with 3DStudio MAX or equivalent 3D package.

 

• Mod or Total Conversion experience with a major game engine.

 

• Computer Science and/or Visual & Dramatic Arts training.
