SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEERDestineer is calling for Senior Software Engineers to help create a proprietary next-generation game engine for an upcoming large budget military shooter.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Specialize in one or more of the following areas: tools development, graphics, gameplay, multiplayer, networking, or systems level programming.
- Design and implement system level solutions in proprietary game engine.
- Interface with design team to ensure tools and processes satisfy production needs.
- Create and complete task list and schedule based on design.
- Create good time estimates for completion of engineering tasks.
- Identify technical risks and propose solutions.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and ideas in your technical specialties.
- Mentor junior level software engineers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- B.Sc. or Masters Degree in Computer Science.
- Excellent working knowledge of C and C++.
- Solid 3D graphics and 3D math skills.
- Must have 2-3 years game development experience (mod experience will be considered)
- Sincere interest in developing process around game systems including the use of editors and other tools
- Sincere interest in developing process around game systems including the use of editors and other tools.
- General experience using game scripting systems
- Experience programming game UI’s
- Experience with Direct3D, OpenGL, or commercial middleware such as Renderware or Gamebryo
- Experience with automated build systems (Continuous Integration) and unit test frameworks
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Legal U.S. work authorization required
HELPFUL:
- Console development experience, preferably XBox 360 or PS3
- Previous shipped titles
- Experience with shaders
- Experience with StudioMAX or Maya plugins
- Experience designing and developing game engines
